WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

Our laser tattoo removal process is for individuals experiencing tattoo regret, seeking to part ways with their tattoos, or looking to make space for new ink.

* We specialize in the removal of permanent makeup and black ink tattoos.

HOW LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORKS

Lasers are focused beams of light directed onto your skin. Lasers heat up the ink particles in your skin to break them down into smaller particles, which are easier for your immune system to remove.

EXPECTED RESULTS & TIMEFRAME

Each person’s tattoo removal process is different. It’s relatively common for tattoo removal to not remove a tattoo completely. But some tattoo removal procedures will completely remove the tattoo from your body. When tattoo removal isn’t 100% successful, some colours of pigment may be too deep for lasers to reach, making it difficult to remove and will require more sessions at a higher fluency. Certain colors, such as black, respond well to laser treatment because they absorb light better.

After just one session of brow toning, we’ve begun to lift those stubborn grey tones. Immediately post-treatment, brows may appear lighter due to the laser breaking up ink particles and creating water vapor within the skin, which temporarily brightens the area. Over the next 30 days, your body will naturally eliminate the fragmented ink, revealing the true final color.

It’s important to note that permanent makeup removal differs from body tattoo removal because of the multiple layers of colours in the ink and how it heals will depend on the pigment used. This unique complexity requires a more specialized approach to achieve the best results and we’ve got you covered! Book your complimentary patch test today. ⚡️

FAQ

DO YOU REMOVE COLORED TATTOOS?

You can laser color tattoos, but certain hues pose a greater challenge for removal. Darker shades absorb a wider range of light, allowing laser wavelengths to effectively break them down for elimination from the body.

DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL HURT?

In short yes, it does hurt. How much it hurts may vary depending on the location of your tattoo. A laser is penetrating multiple layers into your skin.

We do offer numbing before the procedure for those who request it. However, it is not guaranteed to provide a 100% painless experience.

WHAT ARE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS?

Side effects of laser treatments that may be encountered may be:

  • Discomfort: some moderate discomfort is felt during treatment. The sensation is similar to snapping the skin with a rubber band. Some areas are more sensitive than others.
  • Purpura: The area may appear to be bruised with a grey or purple color after treatment. This discoloration will fade over the next 5-7 days. However, this depends on the wavelength required for your specific situation.
  • Blisters/ Scabs/ Crusting: These are relatively common following tattoo treatment. They usually take 7 - 14 days to heal.
  • Hyper/Hypopigmentation: Skin can develop temporary lightening or darkening after laser treatment. Pigment changes can worsen with sun exposure (please follow our after-care instructions).
  • Swelling: Swelling following treatment is common but will subside in 2 - 5 days and can be reduced with regular ice application.
